Ichthys Coastal Management Grants

The 2026 Ichthys Coastal Management Grants are now closed. Applications are being assessed and all applicants will be notified whether they have or have not been successful in September once this process is complete.

The key objectives of the Ichthys Coastal Management Grants are to:

• implement management actions that improve the conservation of dugongs, cetaceans and threatened marine Matters of National Environmental Significance and their habitat
• enhance and maintain the capacity of Aboriginal ranger groups to deliver these management actions.

These grants are for both project-based work, and purchase of capital items, equipment and infrastructure.

Guidelines

The 2026 guidelines are now available.

The guidelines provide a comprehensive description of the grants program, including:

• overview and scope of funding available
• eligibility
• grant process
• application assessment criteria.
