New planning application exhibition signs
The Department of Lands, Planning and Environment will soon be introducing a new standard sign design for the public exhibition of planning applications across the Northern Territory.
The new standard ‘pink’ sign design is for all planning applications requiring public exhibition, replacing 4 different signs for:
- development applications
- planning scheme amendment - rezoning applications
- exceptional development permit applications
- concurrent applications.
Key improvements include:
- a larger QR code that is easier to see and scan from a distance and links directly to Planning Notices Online website
- a consistent sign design for all application types requiring public exhibition
- standardised fields for essential application information, including the application number, application type, property details, proposal description and submission closing date.
The updated sign is intended to streamline exhibition requirements, reduce complexity for applicants and improve public access to information about planning proposals.
