Help shape the future of Alice Springs

What do you value most about living in Alice Springs?

The Northern Territory Planning Commission is reviewing the Alice Springs Regional Land Use Plan to help guide how land is used and developed over the coming years.

Supported by the Department of Lands, Planning and Environment, the review will consider how the town is changing, the opportunities and challenges ahead, and what is needed to support a liveable, sustainable and prosperous future for Alice Springs.

As part of the review, residents are invited to complete the Alice Springs Community Liveability Survey. The survey will help build an understanding of what people value about living in Alice Springs, the challenges they face and the opportunities they would like to see for the future.

The survey asks about everyday life in Alice Springs, including housing, jobs, transport, parks and open spaces, community facilities, shops and services.

Some households will soon receive a survey package in the mail after being randomly selected to take part. However, you do not need to receive a letter to have your say. Anyone who lives in Alice Springs can complete the survey online.

This is the first opportunity to get involved in the review. There will be more opportunities for residents, businesses, community groups and other stakeholders to participate throughout 2027 as the project progresses.

The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete and closes on 30 November 2026.

Have your say and help shape the future of Alice Springs.
