Thanks to recent legislative changes which allow for water notices to be published online, the Water Resources Division launched the water notices portal.
The water notices portal is a public online platform where new water licence decisions are published and details about water licence applications are advertised for public comment.
The new portal replaces the previous newspaper notice system, reducing timeframes and costs for licence applicants and making it easier for the public to find information about water licences.
The transition from newspaper to online has made the process more transparent, accessible, and efficient for everyone.
Working alongside the existing water licensing portal, the new platform provides a simple view of water licence information, helping Territorians stay informed and engaged with water licence applications and decisions.
