New and improved camping options for Crystal Falls, Jatbula Trail, Nitmiluk National Park
Ten new tent / sleeping platforms have been installed at the Crystal Falls camp site, just in time for the 2025 hiking season along the Jatbula Trail that commences on 1 June,
Crystal Falls will be the second camp site hikers reach on the Jatbula Trail.
While the feature of this camp site is the beautifully refreshing clear swimming holes, as with all camp sites along the Jatbula Trail, level camp sites are limited
The addition of these 10 platforms will provide increased options for a comfortable night’s rest.
The works were completed through Parks and Wildlife’s Minor New Works program for 2024/25, supported by the Nitmiluk National Park Board, with works completed by the Jawoyn Association Aboriginal Corporation, awarded under a tendering process and project management through the Department of Logistics and Infrastructure. Total project cost was around $370,000.
