Highlighting Water Resources staff

Acknowledging the employees of Water Resources and highlighting the diversity of roles in the division.

Water Resources Division is celebrating 70 years, highlighting and acknowledging the people who contribute to water management.

We have more than 80 Territorians living and working across the regions that play a critical role, ranging from drillers, engineers, data officers to regulators.

Aless is the project lead on the NWGA Ti Tree Aboriginal water science project, which was granted to the Water Resources at the end of last year.

She is also involved with the coordination and running of the Daly River water advisory committee.

Recently, she helped with the midterm reviews for both the Oolloo and Ti Tree water allocation plans.

“Getting the two midterm reviews (for Oolloo and Ti Tree) completed (and on time) has been a highlight and a great way to learn about what different teams do in the division and the water resource itself,” she said.

“It has also made me realise how much knowledge there is in the division about these areas.”

Teah supports the Water Resources division through effective budget and financial management, business

operations, and project coordination, helping ensure that work progresses smoothly and efficiently.

This allows our technical staff to focus on delivering essential water programs that benefit the community.

“Managing the finances for the Water Resources division has been a significant achievement for me,” she said.

“It’s a responsibility I’ve grown into, and I take pride in supporting the team behind the scenes.”
