Do you use bore water for business in the Darwin Rural area?
If you are using water from a bore in the Darwin Rural area for a business or commercial purpose, including farming, irrigation or industry uses, a water extraction licence is required.
The simplified application process for users in the former Darwin Rural water control district will close on 31 July 2025. After that, the application process will return to standard process, including public comment periods.
