Gamba Grass Annual Report 2024
The Gamba Grass Annual Report 2024 has now been approved by the Minister for Lands, Planning and Environment and is now online. The report outlines progress over the 2023 - 2024 financial year against the Weed Management Plan PDF (2.0 MB).
The Weed Management Branch have recently released the Gamba Grass Annual Report 2024. This is the fourth gamba grass annual report that has been released since 2020 reporting on progress against implementation of the Weed Management Plan Gamba Grass 2020 – 2030 (gamba plan).
The gamba plan documents (1) the legal requirements for gamba grass management in the Northern Territory that must be met by owners or occupiers of land, and (2) strategic actions for implementation by the Northern Territory Government in collaboration with relevant community and industry organisations.
Information included in the 2024 annual report includes progress towards eradication of gamba grass across the eradication (Class A) zone, summary of compliance activities across the control (Class B) zone, a summary of community feedback received through a gamba grass ‘have your say survey’ undertaken in April 2024, Gamba Army outcomes for the year and more.
